Hi upon completion of EIC, minor works or PIR's do you give the customer the copies straight away. Or do you advise your governing body. What is the procedure on the forms. Cant find anything in any of my books.

I give the copy to customer straight away. You have to register the work with the governing body within 30 days. I do it online.

Mmmm. Be careful with that. I understand what you are saying, but in the eyes of a governing body, non payment for work will not allow you to withold a cert. Chances are if the client is the type to withold payment, then they could also be the type to cause you aggro with your registration body. If they get a sniff that you are not issuing certs then they could strike you off, which means you won't be able to sign any work off!!. Bummer I know, but if things get nasty, you need to able to show that you have followed the rules to the letter.
