Hi all.

Need to do an EIC for a small sub main in a garage. Its fed from an 40a 30ma RCD.
In the characteristics section it asks for the main switch details. Do i put the RCD in their or the main sw in the CU?

the origin of supply meaning the main incomer..
so do you think db1 is from the origin of supply....
or the origin of its supply?

It's connected to the origin of supply, going via the RCD then onto CU

Edit : Metre tails spilt in henley block to RCD then onto CU in garage.
So it is connected to the origin of supply.
So have i just answered my own question?

i assume he means that he hopes there is further OCPDs in the shed. e.g. 16A for sockets and 6A for lighting.
Ah i see, of course there is.

I was thinking that if the cable is split at the henley block goes to an RCD and then there is the feed to the shed there is no overcurrent protection to the feed to the shed as there is only the RCD in place.
Unless the RCD is an RCBO.
