EICR Coding Opinions please

Ok, so here I am testing/inspecting some new floodlights installed at a local community facility. The installers, in their wisdom scarpered without leaving anything resembling a certificate so I'm doing a EICR on the 2 circuits in question.

The "post" end of the circuits is shown here, there is no lock on the door so anyone with a pair of pliers can gain access:



Inside the connections to the floodlightsare clearly "exposed", the floodlights in question are approximately 20 foot above:




Now I'm thinking that this should be a C2 as the MCB etc at the very least should be within its own enclosure.

Your thoughts???

As you still need a tool of some description to remove the cover suppose C2 would cover it. If door had no fastening mechanism at all then C1.

But I don't do much in the way or EICRs so others will probably stand me corrected

I would defo say the mcb needs an enclosure. The ones Ive seen in lamp posts are in a plastic box with a clear front so you can see the mcb. Are the locks on the door them triangle ones like on the white metre cupboards on the side of a house?

The "locks" aren't triangular like meter cupboards, they are square and not lockable!

Not lockable CODE C1 EXPOSED live parts OR tap n screw door shut with a bolt
The "cutouts are best fitted preferably with fuse rather than MCB due to condensation in the pole dripping down

But still require the use of a tool to open...the square part of a utility key you mean?...
