When doing EICR, what you people normally put for extend covered?

Also do people have a general list of things you put as Limitations when testing? IE no moving furniture, no portable appliance,

That would completely depend on the situation, type of installation, operational limitations etc. For instance, are we talking about an unnocupied 2 bedroom flat or a large factory running a 7 day 24 hour production schedule ?

Do a few different situations.
1. Is small offices only 2/3 rooms
2. Domestic, normally 3/4 bedroom. Normally furnished, but sometimes empty

Generally in those listed situations limits would/could be placed on:
cables concealed within the building fabric
inaccessible areas
circuits that cannot be isolated for operational reasons

But usually limitations on inspection and testing should not be looked for and avoided if possible, especially in these situations.

My standard limitations are: no dismantling of the building fabric and no lifting of floorboards.

that is printed on my certs before i fill them in. sometimes i'd like to be able to enter a lim..... "xxxxx was not tested because the client is an arse", but i don't think that would go down well with the suits. :19:

You would have thought they'd have a switch to flick on and off to engage an override. Not on each PIR but an actual light switch
