Hi,
Ive been asked to quote to sort out the code C2's and C1's, they want a new board and bits and pieces sorting out, after the work is it enough to write a cover note explaining that the unsatisfacotry observations have been rectified along with an installation cert?

Or does it have to be another EICR?

Cheers

You've done your tests on the first report so most of the work is done. After rectifying you'll be testing those circuits again before energising so a second report this time satisfactory is all just about done mate

The Installation Certificate, mentioning the defects rectified (noting EICR serial number) is the only document required.

The client then keeps both documents together to prove the installation is satisfactory.

The EICR states the faults - then the EIC (dated after the EICR) will show that some work has been done on these circuits.
This should be enough - eitherway if you did the EICR in the first place how hard is it to print another out without the C1s and C2s - you know you have fixed them all!

If you didn't do the EICR - you can always do one - sort out a price with the owner - see what they want - you have several options - they are the ones you have to please so do as they instruct - or who ever asked for the EICR to be done in the first place

I will be doing an EIC for all work i'll be doing, but making sure that another eicr is not required as the customer would rather not pay for one if an eic referencing the eicr is enough

thanks.

You have just answered your own question - work with the customer.

All they have to prove is that they have had the work done that was stated on the EICR - nothing more.

TBH the EIC does not even have to mention the EICR - but it is a good idea to mention it on the first page
