Hi Guys,
Today I was fitting a 30 mA 32 a rcbo when my colleague said it should be an ELCB, Ive been in the game a few years now (3 1/2) so I know what I'm talking about. I told him he must be mistaken and there is no such thing but he insists that there are, I know an rcbo is a form of rcd mcb but has anyone else heard of an ELCB?

ELCB = Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker. Maybe he was referring to an RCD and got confused by the RCBO reference??????

How can they tell weather, is it a pressure switch or something?

The current operated version was also called a ELCB before changing the name to RCD
