Thanks.
Fingers crossed!!!!

questions on cable size and types
got my renewal in 3 weeks
Agree with DurhamSparky. The guys from Elecsa are really helpfull. Make sure you have all the necessary paperwork prepared (as per the list sent to you from Elecsa). I was told that you need a copy of "Guidance Note 3 (Inspection & Testing)" and the "Memorandum of guidance on the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989", which I think helped during my assessment. After that the the site visit will be nothing that you have not done before.
Good luck,
Philip
Agree with above
A favorite is ZE and every time with me checks bonding to gas water etc.
The last job I took him too he had me remove sockets and wanted to see best practice of putting grommets in .
Good luck
A lot on building regs on mine but the whole thing turned out to be very relaxed and easy.
Do you have a copy of the Electricians Guide to the Building Regulations? If not I'd certainly recommend you get a copy.
Passed it!!!!!!!!!
So happy, everything went brilliant.
Had it with a guy called John Wormall, really nice chap, makes you feel relaxed.
Happy days!!!!
Nice one Carl! its not nearly as bad as you think its going to be is it? Flew through mine an i must say the ELECSA guys are very good and make you feel very at ease.

I had john a few years ago. Does he still drive the little sports car, and get his home made test rig out of the boot?
I have mine in 4 weeks. 3rd one. get so worked up about it. First time taking him away from my house this time. Taking him to a job where first fix is done but second fix isnt yet. He cant ask me to show him any testing as it wouldnt be possible. so do you recon it will be mainly building regs questions?
he may be a bit upset if you cant demonstrate tests!! but if he seen you twice before it should be a breeze!!
Im upgrading my parents Installation this time
Gas and Water Bond
Earth Rod
New CU located opposite side of wall for access (currently in a cupboard at floor height)
All RCBO set up to minimise fafing about (currently set up on a overall RCD at 30ma!)
will take pics and post tomorrow!
I would have another job on standby just in case as you don't want to pay the assesement fee again if it doen't go to plan.
Just a thought.
Hope all goes well.
