Discuss elecsa direct debit? in the Certification NICEIC, NAPIT, Stroma, BECSA Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net
just received my pack from elecsa and it states they will not issue certification unless i set up a direct debit, a bit peed off as this has cost me enough as it is. also how am i supposed to know if i want to trade next year or continue being with them. is this normal? it seems like not only are they ripping me off with the part p scam now they want payment 2 years in advance.
are other scam providers doing this and what would happen if i canceled direct debit after a month?
The direct debit is for the Part P notification - its ÂŁ1.80 per job and yes Direct debit IS the way to go as its far, far, easier!
Don't get sucked into their "easy" payment scheme for next years subs though as you'll be lending them your hard earned money
ok stopped palpitations now! thought they were hitting me for 'easy' payment scheme!
they could mention what direct debit is for!
applied a month ago and was just informed computer error so got assesment in end october, asked to go on cancelation list.
feel a bit stupid now, more cider me thinks

Does the direct debit requirement include the ability to take the next assessment fee?
How can it not?
thats what i am worried about, don't mind if it's a year from now because if i change my mind i can always cancel it via my bank or not have funds in there, but always hate direct debit after tried years ago to set one up for monthly gas bill to be payed and gas company took out what they estimated my next year bill was going to be all at once without my permision i tried the bank and was told i could deny payment after the fact but it would cancel my initial direct debit.
i just don't like anyone being able to empty my funds without nowing what they are taking out first, surely if any company is selling me something they should send me a receipt before they extract funds and if i want to retract from purchase that time
ime on my tablet and it is difficult....................................
..........,i shouldn't have to carry on
They take out what you have spent in the shop and your notification to labc on the 10th with it,
The direct debit is for automatic renewal next year. My renewal is due in the next couple of months and I have never set it up and been reminded by Elecsa. I will pay this when they send me details of my reassessment :thumbsup

so is that the tenth month? just so i know as after certified i hope to do some sub work and do a bit on my own. if it all goes ---- up on my own then i don't need added expense on something i don't need.
call me pessimistic but i have already paid for 2 years 2360 that city and guilds cant find my qualifications a nvq3 online diary, that i can't complete because clair beesely from city and guilds can't give me a answer on what is missing part 1 in the 1980 's or part 2 in 2007
i set the easy payment thing up...
you can adjust the payments you make so its not a set amount..! i normally pay ÂŁ30 flat towards next year! and final balance is recovered on last DD before year end... i find it easier to manage that way as no big "lumps" falling out bank.
They take out what you have spent on the 10th of every month
