hi all, can some of you please shed some light(no pun) onthe assement process for becoming a member of a governing body. Is it worth doing with only defined scope? I do general building works aswell, unsure as to when i am going to ba able to upgrade to full scope as i have to go back to college for 2 weeks and am in need of serious cash, currently doing an approved sparks course, can or should i be testing my work at defined scope level and can i test for a letting agent. More than anything im a bit worried about being assessed again is it a difficult assessment?

as regards to testing for a letting agent i assume you mean periodics ? well you can do that on iet forms etc or the green niceic forms, but it is a question of competence more than anything.

no not periodics, you have to be qualified yes??? i was a bit vague if letting agent wants me to change some sockets or lights im ok for like for like but should i test before and after??

With everything the vital word is competent if you feel that you have the knowledge and experience and can justify that if challenged then go fill your boots.
