I have my Elecsa PIR certificate pad, But it says at the top of each page

"Domestic Electrical Installation Periodic Inspection Report. (for a single dwelling) Important householder information)"

Is this PIR Cert ok for use on a public club? unit? shop? factory?
I cant see that elecsa offer any other PIR certs, So is this ok to use??
If not what Cert do i use for PIR on a comercial or industrial premises?

I can not see any reason for not being able to use it for PIR, in my experience it EIC that have a short form single signature for a 3 persons designer, installer, tester(for domestic) and a long form which requires 3 different signature, (industrial).

Where it usual for the installation to have design drawing and data, and it also adviceable to get a seperate person to test the installation with in the company to those how installed it, if all 3 agree installation complies and is safe for use, this helps if anything goes wrong.

You cannot use the Elecsa Domestic PIR forms for anything other than domestic PIR`s - it states that on the form. Surely as a

ember of ELECSA you only have permission to use their logo for domestic work since that is all that you are registered for! (and have been assessed on;))

you can buy a pack of PIR's from your local wholesaler and do inspection you haven't got to be assessed to complete any inspection for commercial or industrial work but you should be competent with all aspect of testing, 2391 or plenty of previous experence. but some companies insurance will only accept an "approved electrician" NIC, ECA.

Agreed, but unless you are registered to do PIR`s then you can not use forms that bear a scheme logo.

Ive got many questions about a PIR ive been too.
No bonding to gas at all on premises, Water has 16mm bond. steel structure for building frame has no bonding.

3 phase incoming supply. Netural conductor is over 50mm, meaning my bonding has to be 35mm.. (as regs state). I know its important that gas and steel frame work is bonded 35mm, does the water that is currently 16mm HAVE to be upgraded to 35mm also, or is it acceptable as is.

No bonding at all to incoming services you'd code 1
But bonding present just not the correct size to latest regs.. what would you code this??
