I have x amount of training days to use up at the company i work for. There is nothing else i need or they'll put me through. I work offshore so don't use the 17th on a day to day bases so just wanted to brush up. I'm not paying for the course.

so...

why dont you get something that will be meaningful when you finaly decide you want to work on land again...but there again..

so it would be wise to use any training credits you have to get something relevent....

I asked for it and 17th is already booked and paid for. I am just curios to know if the exam simulator is any good and would it help in me passing the exam.

If you've got an Android phone, you can get one for free:

Training in Electrical: 17th Edition phone app

No idea how it is compared to the "paid for" ones.

(Gotcha: turn off "auto-rotate" on your phone, otherwise if you accidentally rotate it will take you back to the beginning half way through the test).

You don't need practice mate just use BS 7671s contents page to find out what you want to know I know a bloke who took his about a year ago bought all the books, waste of time and money, just use the BGB

Cheers, never thought about trying the play store got the app downloaded now.

I know it's all about learning to work your way around the regs book but when you don't use the regs on a regular bases anything helps.
