Hi Gays
I am runing supply cable for electric boiler which is 9kw so 10` t&e 40 a mcb protected by rcd , my question is do I have to bond pipe work I have been tolld by another sparky that i have to but I would like your oppinion.
Thanks in advance

It's unlikely to be an extraneous conductive part and as such...no....if it is in a bathroom(!!)...then supplementary may be required. Many electricians dont understand the purpose of main bonding...which has nothing to do with 'earthing the pipes'....or 'stopping them from coming live'....which is probably the case with the sparky offering advise....If you are not sure, have a look at the definition of an extraneous conductive part in the BRB,the bit which says "liable to introduce a potential, generally earth" is the key part of the definition.

EDIT...OH,AND BY THE WAY,I'M NOT GAY! :D
