Hi there,

I have a lamp plugged into a socket in my lounge and it's on a timer attachment. I'm not sure whether it's the electric or the timer that is causing the issue but the bulb seems to keep getting a build up of brown/ honeycomb colour at the bottom on the inside of the bulb it's self. I thought initially it was the lamp so just replaced it yesterday but the same thing happened today. Has anyone experienced this before. Could the timer affect this? It's only a 40 watt bulb which is the maximum in the lamp. Any advice is much appreciated.

cheap bulbs? ( don't start boys. he has a lamp plugged in, this lamp is fitted with a bulb. definitions confirmed by florence nightingale, lady of the bulb).

It is an energy saving feature that is built into the bulbs that are sold in your neck of the woods. You should be sitting round a roaring candle other than Sundays.
