I have a Bosh cooker to install on the weekend and was wondering on any advice you could provide me on installing it, tips and tricks etc...?

Am i right to think i need 2.5mm T&E cable for this job also what rating should the amp be in the ccu?

Previous oven was installed via a 13amp plug

Sorry, in work and a bit stressed out so previous info was pants.
Its
Electrical connection rating (W)2350Current (A)16Voltage (V)220-240

the cooker needs to be wired aswell.
So shall i put a plug on the end or hard wire it in?

well if your specs are right you could put on plug top or just change face plate and hard wire in. using flex or you 2.5mm

If you've got a socket as pasrt of the cooker switch, you will need to upgrade the cable and breaker - potential for drawing 26 amps which would be outside the the range of a 2.5 radial circuit. Failing that - replace the cooker switch with one that doesn't incorporate a socket!

The cooker circuit is a radial circuit already.
Instead of having a cooker connection box there is a single 13amp plug socket, underneath the work top.

The new cooker doesnt come with any wiring at all.

Can i just wire up a 13amp plug to the cooker and connect that?

or do i have to change to a cooker connection and hard wire it in.

The easiest way to wire this is if you have the cooker supply there then it is possibly wired in 6mm to the existing cooker connection plate, via the cooker switch , if the manufacturer instructions stipulate a 16amp supply thats what you give them ,this is an oven not a cooker so makes a differance what else is on the circuit , hob or is it gas , if the hob is gas then what i would do is connect the oven into the cooker connection plate and replace the MCB with a 16 amp this way you are complying with the manufactrers instructions if the hob is electric then i would recommend that you install a new circuit for the oven protected by a 16 amp MCB

This type of work dont forget is notifiable under Part P
