Most either want that or a P.T.O you can try southern electric/scottish and southern energy as they take people on with no quals or exp at all ! i was the only qualified spark they had in Reading branch come to think of it i was the only one with a single qual ! and heres the bullet in the gun ! they dont even give you a colour blindness test  ! when i done 3 ph training there was a guy on it who thought red was brown  ! and hes still working there :eek: !
If your a spark they will snap you up yesterday !
Best of luck buddy ! one thing i will say is your be flooded with work on the side if you can sign your work off !

what is pto?cheers

permit to work order its a permit given out by dno allowing you to pull service fuse, lasts for about 3 years and most meter firms expect you to already have one in place and experience.

which is a bummer cause you cant go direct to dno for pto you are sent by firm you work for

Right thanks for that but what is dno? cheers

is this a wind up? didnt you say you were an electrician?
Distribution Network Operator (DNO) all equipment upto the srvice head, supply cables etc belong to them including the service fuse, which is why you need a pto

I didn't know what a pto was until you said I know it better as a PTW like most people I think you will find.

strange that Nedl/Yedl have PTO written in big black letters across my authorisation i think YOULL find
and you thought Dno was ? which is what were talking about
