Hi Just wondering on people thoughts!
Been to look at a towel rail change for a old couple!
Old lady has been battering the connection plug with her zimmer as she goes past bless her & its knackered!
Old towel rail & at the moment doesn't look like I can source a replacement spare plug so new towel rail it is!
Flex goes up the wall & through into the kitchen & on a plug top plugged into socket!
Sockets are RCD protected so if I can add a spur in the kitchen to replace the fact its plugged in & new towel rail job done.
Im just wondering what any of you reckon for cost etc
Hate these little jobs as cant do anything else with the day but the time its all done & don't wana rip off a little old couple!
Towel rails about ÂŁ80 so wondering on labour?
Still getting used to pricing these small domestic jobs & looking for pointers to find the right balance!

Hi I have attached invoice for one we did a couple of weeks ago.

I think ÂŁ20/hr is too cheap, I Charge double that.

Hope this helps?

Charge what you feel comfortable with, however at the end of the day you need to make a living. Just split out your charges for parts and labour on the quote to show them what they are paying for.

Work out an hourly rate that makes sense for you. I charge ÂŁ28/h and add travel time at the same rate. So a one hour job with half hour travel each way gets charged ÂŁ56. Provided you tell the customer up-front how you charge then it's their decision whether to go for it or not.

maybe not a good idea to broadcast your bank details on an open forum.
