Two questions Its my understanding that a fused outlet should feed a flex plate next to the towel rail generally the fused outlet is outside of bathroom high level above door as long as its outside the zones could you have it in the bathroom? or is it just standard practice to be outside. The other question is i seem to remember towel rails being on their own dedicated circuit is this standard procedure or can they be wired off ringmain (i know it all depends on load) whats the view

Fused outlet can go inside bathroom if it is 3 meters away from zone 1. personally i prefer to keep them outside and blanking plate inside bathroom.
Its fine to take off a ring main but remember it must go though RCD, either at mains or install an RCD FCU (providing cable feeding FCU doesnt require protection)

Hey.

It's also my preference to position the fused spur outside of the bathroom too.

Although now we are allowed socket outlets in bathrooms (ouside of zones of course) there doesn't seem to be any need to have them outside of the room.

Hi
The three meter rule from zone one is for a 230v socket outlets not a FCU. These can be fitted inside the bathroom out of zone 0,1,2, but you still have to take into account the conditions likely to be encountered (still best out of the bathroom I say).
