I have a job which has within it's specification a consumption meter, has anyone fitted one of late and have any recommendations? It is going on a supply for external lighting to reimburse someone for electricity used.

Be aware the terminals on pretty much all meters are designed for tails therefore in order keep it safe drill out a double plastic back box to suit meter terminal layout, mount meter above and make earth connection it the back box.

Position in easiest position, either at the CU/DB or closer the accessory, really doesn't matter.

The meters in the link above are not new, they are zeroed, so may be a bit grubby but usually clean up ok with baby wipes.
