Hello everyone

Hope someone can help, we have sold a machine into Canada. And there voltage is 208v / 60 Hz single phase.
Our machine runs on a standard 240v Single phase here in the UK.
I have been giving information that there supply consists of two phase wires and a neutral.
All the electrical components nets in our machine will work at 208v / 60 Hz but I'm not sure as to how to convert the mains wiring within the panel to suit there input.
Or is it just a case of there two phase wires replace our single live wire and neutral is used as norm?

Surely if you're selling a product in a country, you should be aware how its able to function safely there. Do you not have to achieve some sort of standard for export/import?

Sounds like this machine has been sold by someone who does not know anything about it electrics and has dropped the sh1ty end of the stick onto someone else to sort out.

It's not just a case of altering a few wires, for one thing you need to consider that anything built for the UK single phase supplies will not have appropriate protective devices or switching for a 2 phase supply

If your equipment will operate at 208V, then there should be no need to alter the wiring?
Just use one phase and the neutral.
