I have always enjoyed this forum but after I posed a question and an idea I found some were very quick to belittle and berate my thoughts, and yet when probed about their own understanding of the whys and wherefores on the subject were shown to be lacking pretty basic electrical understanding.
This is not to say some didn't come up with valid reasoning but a few just ranted that what had been suggested was a cowboy job. This comment was not backed up by any useful information. Without regulation departures or sound electrical reasoning we cannot have useful enjoyable debate. Indeed I was told to f***k off in not so many words so thanks for that comment ( you know who you are). That I don't mind we all do it on site but it is not a very articulate answer on a forum is it ?
I have read many posts from newcomers complaining about their treatment here and have admittedly not thought much about it.
I can imagine some have a very dim view of some of the posters on here.

Anyway that is my lot for tonight.

I know how you feel...Those smarmy eejits on Dragons Den laughed me off set when i suggested they invested in my two new inventions,a 3-speed walking stick and a cordless generator... cheer up pal,i have berated the site/keyboard analogy before and it's just part of the modern remote interaction mediums, clear a patch on site, gloves on or off,and lads are more amiable, thoughtful and able to share views...This site cannot afford to lose people like yourself, who have been around for ages and are prepared to place opinions in type, politely and spelled correctly. :1:
