Looking to join this guys from previous experience working with them under my previous employer. Going to join in may when ELEX2011 is in town so I can hopefully skimp out on the joining fee.

I understand these guys only want to see one job but can you get away with a minor works in a special location or does it need to major works requiring an EIC?

My thinking is if its only a minor works incorporating a ring main, you'd still have to go through the correct procedure of finding your R1+R2 value which is one of the important tests they like to see that you're carrying out the correct sequence of the figure of 8 test?

Hopefully my (passed) 2391 certificates would of arrived by end of April to show my competence but I know you still have to carry out the testing procedure.

Thanks in advance!

A new circuit should satisfy it mate ie new ring main in your garage clipped surface, thats what i used! if you know your stuf you will have no problems, there were no trick questions just make sure your paper work is all in order
