Electrical wiring kit

Was in the big orange shed yesterday, saw an 'electrical wiring kit' for a few quid. Consists of insulation tape, connector blocks and a neon screwdriver. OMG. Is it any wonder there are so many awful and dangerous DIY jobs out there?

Was there a "how to rewire your house" sheet with it?

hmm might get one of them, never know when I next need to do a full rewire

It's only a matter of time before they start one of their how to classes. I was in a shed a few weeks back and one of their friendly experts was helping a guy buy an extract fan for his bathroom. He even drew a wiring diagam for him, I couldn't resist pointing out the error of his ways.

Was chatting to an Electrician last year when updating for my 2391. Chap was on a electrical trainee and planning to work as an electrican with his motorbike, think that toolkit is about the right size for him

Well I didn't start out with a motorbike, but if I'd realised how much gear I'd end up carting around with me "just in case" and how many "that'll be useful" tools I'd collect, I'd have gone for a bigger van than my Berlingo.
