Hi,
I am hopefully moving to London from Dublin in the near future. I spent 4 years as an apprentice electrician, qualified as an electrician and worked another 7 years on commercial & industrial sites. I spent another two years working as an electrical foreman and in the meantime had been going to college at night for 4 years studying a degree in electrical services engineering. I have just finished college and I have been working as an electrical design engineer for over 2 years now.
I thought the move to London would be straight forward but it seems I need to do a few courses first. I was looking at doing the 3 day 2382-10 17th edition course.
I would prefer to get a maintenance electrician job but have no maintenance experience. I would be happy to get an installation electrician job either.
Is there any other course I should do to improve my chances of getting a job?
Also is there much work over there?
