hello everyone,

just out of interest could i ask if anyone would be interested in when learning to become an electrician would you find it beneficial to actually watch video tutorials of how to actually do the job step by step in either real time or 'near' real time? only asking as i dont know about you but reading book after book just cloggs my brain up and you cant always get hands on experiance on all aspects needed to give you a more rounded knowledge and thought this could be a good idea.

would love to hear your comments on this area and if there are any areas you would sujest as a good tutorial let me know,

kind regards

when i was a college the teacher made us a video on how to test and i aswel as my class found this very helpfull

wow thanks guys for such a quick response to me posting this. if i just explain some more im proposing doing a series of viedos and ebboks of how to do the basics to aid you through apprentiship and exams and for already qualified sparkys videos showing jobs on site to show larger projects. in with this im also considering a video / ebook on how to set up your own business as an electrician. if anyone has any comments on this i'd love to hear them

I think it’s a great idea! When I was on site I really didn’t do much LV and any I did do was industrial, I am now working in an office doing designs so don’t have much of a chance to get out and learn the tricks of the trade. Ive done a few small domestic jobs with friends and think any visual tutorials would really benifit me personally as id like to do a bit more house bashing.

All the best and keep me updated please.

Simon.
