i have been working as an electrician for 13 years and want to work abroard....
as this is the first time i have started looking into this i dont know where to start looking or who to speak to.
any help would be much appreciated.

Depends where you want to go? Canada you need to take a red seal exam, Norway I think you need to apply for a dsb(I think) offshore you need stupid amount of tickets like survival, bosiet, compex etc different places need different requirements, I think there is a few threads on this topic although someone will be along shorty to probably correct me lol

If you mean that your looking for overseas contracts, then you'll probably be looking a long time. Unless your prepared to work in hazardous war torn locations that is. Unfortunately those good old days have long since passed!!

It's either that, or physically going to the country you want to work in, and applying for work locally which isn't recommended unless you can negotiate very good contract benefits and a decent salary. This wouldn't apply to westernised countries like Europe, Aussie, States, Canada and the like, where you first need to be in possession of a resident visa and then required to pass national trade assessments etc!!
