Electrician's Mate Jobs

Hi everyone,

After 11 years working for this guy he's decided to close the company and take a slower pace to life. This for me means that i'm having to look elsewhere for work.

Basically I'm creating this thread to see if anyone is looking for an electricians mate. As I dont have the C&G 2330 yet, I am graded as an electricians mate. I have passed the C&G 2382 17th edition wiring regs and just sent off for my JIB card as i have passed my ECS health and safety and next month I will be doing my LUCAS card exam too.

I have experience in working in schools and churches and dwellings as well.

Please let me know if you are looking for or know anyone who needs and electricians mate in the London area.

Which body gave you a grade as a "electricians mate" ?

When I did my C&G2382 I spoke to my tutor to give me advice as to what the next steps I should take and he said that if I apply for my JIB card and due to me only having the C&G2382 and not the C&G2330 I would be graded as an electrcians mate as grandfather rights no longer are counted when being graded.

I no longer speak to the guy I used to work for so I'm really going on any advice I can get (hence one of the many reasons I have signed up to this forum).

Maybe I'm wrong but I'm only going on the advice I have been given from people. On my JIB application I have applied for "Unskilled labourer".

I will be going in september to college to complete my C&G2330 but in the mean time I'm relying on my experience to get jobs.

If you could help me, any advice will be greatly appreciated.
