This popped up on my suggested videos on youtube. This will be up your street @Pete999
had a watch and found it all a bit interesting. the way he joins stripped wires is certainly different compared to what we do over here! also would we ever use flexible conduit like they have done?
From my basic Russian it is a electrical firm of brothers by the name of Kravchuk in Sevastapol in Crimea.
Excuse the Russian text in the video but worth a watch.

Well, you've had to hope that that Russian electrician isn't reading this post and thinking the same thing about you.
His grandfather most probably sent my family to Siberia and in to a concentration camp whilst murdering half of them, how would you feel if they sent your Mother out to the forest to chop wood bare foot when it -20 degrees.

The actions of that Russians grandfather IF true is no reason for your comments regarding him though.
I don't think you would like the persons family if one of their relatives shot holes in the back of the heads of your family, sent them to a concentration and stole all their land, we will agree to disagree on this one, you love Russians I don't the only good Russian to me is a dead one.

My Mother and her sister buried their Father in a forest somewhere with their bare hands.

Regards the original post, his method reminds me of those twisty caps the yanks use to connect cables together ... except with an arch welder and shrink wrap.

Sometimes I wonder if we do things right in the uk, In this instance I ’m reassured - thanks OP
