As my username should indicate my father was an electrician so I had some practical experience watching him and I passed "A" level physics so I have an understanding of electrical circuits. I also gained advice from industrial electricians at my place of work in industry. In the past I did all my own DIY electrical work, but now after the government restrictions came into place, I do the labouring, banging holes in the wall, fitting conduit and boxes, etc, and get a certified electrician to wire up.
