Hi

I missed the board today and they have advised the builder they will be providing a 3 phase 75kva supply. I reckon the formula to work out the line current is:

I= kVA x 1000 /415 x 1.732

therefore

75 x 1000/415 x 1.732 = 313 amps

now I think I am correct in saying this is approx 100amps per phase. Can somone confirm I am on the right lines ..

Thx

I would say you are about right, yes.

The way I do it is to convert KVA to KW, allowing for a slight power factor and then divide by (400x1.732)

I get to about 97A per phase so I think 100A per phase is what you will get.
