Electrics in Italy

Further to johnstantines thread on electrics in France I thought I would totally copy him and see if any1 knew anything about electrics in Italy?!

The misses has got a decent job out there (so thankfully I wont be 2 desperate 4 work 4 a while) and ive finally made the decision 2 ditch soggy england and give it a go!

Any help is much appreciated.

You lucky, lucky fella! Where abouts are you going?

Wiring wise - shoddy. Not as shoddy as Spain, but pretty shoddy.

Yeah cheers boys thats kinda what I was expecting to hear. Me misses' flat was new so had a good nose round while it was bein done.

All flex conduit chased in with singles. Only 3 mcbs in board, 32A for cooker, 10A for lights and one 16A for all the sockets! Apparantly you cant have everything on at once but the italians just seem to accept it for sum reason. cant see it happenin in the UK!

Moving just north of Milan to a small village on Lake comabbio, so its water sports summers and ski slope winters for us. Maybe I should jack up an "Electricians Forum ski tour" after christmas!
