Electricty Fraud

Could anybody please point me in the right direction to report somebody for electricity fraud?

I know a guy who has boasted about fixing electricty meters for several thousand pounds worth of cost.
His own house is very near to mine and I believe he has fixed both his gas and electricty meters.
He has two large industrial air con units on the side of his house, has a spiked fence around his meters, has MDF boarding round his fencing and gates, has 4 cameras around his house.
In addition to the risk of blowing my street up (!) many neighbours also believe it is possible that something else is going on. His window blinds are always closed. His front door is never used and has plastic sheeting up behind the glass. His windows are never opened. In winter, his is the only house with no snow on the roof (yet these house are only 6 years old so well insulated). This all leads to cannabis growing. He has been reported to the police, but nothing has come of it. In addition he and his wife are also known to go by two different name.
I am confident that he has fiddled his own electricity meter and possibly also his gas meter.
I have trawled the internet and apart from the British Gas Fraud number, have not really found anything else I can do.
Can anybody point me in the right direction ?

Sounds like a cannabis factory to me. Get straight on the blower to the local plod or even better, a trip to the local station. Get the police officers details you are talking to and tell them everything you have just said in your original post. On that evidance, there should shortly be a police helicopter flying over with it's thermal imaging camera just to confirm it is a cannabis factory before the boys go in with the big key.

That'll sort the problem out!

Went to the police some months ago and they kept trying to call at the house on the pretence they wanted to see where the cameras were pointing but never managed to get in and then nothing came of it as the officer said it would be down to somebody more senior to decide the likelihood of it being a cannabis farm based on occupants history
Can go to police again but fear they are not listening !
Personally speaking - they can grow as much cannabis as they like (if they are) and that's a police matter, but I want the idiot stopped from fixing his meters (and me probably paying for the thing along with my neighbours) and stop him fiddling elsewhere before he blows a street up somewhere

Police seemed more interested in the possibility of cannabis farm, but said if senior officer decided unlikely, then they wouldn't pursue meter fraud !

You could ring up the gas board and say you smelled a gas leak there and you think the property is vacant.....

First of all he will not blow the street up and if he is linking out his meter I would have thought the meter reading company would have smelled a rat as they need a reading at least once a year as for the pot check to see if he has any of his windows blacked out.
Also me thinks the police will listen to you as the last thing they need is this guys face in the papers with a headline "How did he get away with it for so long" and your face below with "well I told them years ago" So go back to the police and list what you have found to them

on some police shows ive watchd the plods say they can smell the cannabis a mile a way as the weed gives off a strong smell

it stinks. we did some work on a street that there was a canabis farm at the bottom and about 10 houses up if the wind was blowing that way it stunk you could stink it all day. their clothes must have reeked of it when they came out
