Electronic frost stat's acting oddly

Just sharing something that has now happened to me today for the third time ( twice today ) ! . A certain manufacturer electronic frost stat as the culprits
. Am wondering if anyone could shed light or confirm my thinking
As all heating control wiring in place I do my final checks using my mft just check that all is working as it should , and I notice that I have 151v ( varying ) on a live conductor . I disconnect cables connected to frost stat and again the s/l now disconnected at wiring centre still at frost stat still gives me Voltage witch at one point read out at 190v . Telephoned manufacturer and its news to them ? I change frost stat to a non electronic version and no issues whatsoever . Obviously will avoid this reputable manufacturer frost stat from now on . But wondering if anyone else had issues like this , wot a week it's been for issues like this

Yes had this problem with timegard room sat combi boiler start stop every 30 sec when stat off
different make of stat no problems

It wasn't starting the boiler in my instance, system worked fine tho was'nt able to test/check frost stat was to warm , was you're an electronic one ?

Yes Utter ---- only good timegard product is the pin timers
