Elegant solution to distant CU

Evening fellas,

I'm after an elegant solution to an ugly problem:

It's a rewire,

Customer wants CU shifted to somewhere more convenient ( under the stairs, moved from living room wall!)

This location is about 10m worth of cable away from the meter. (6m as the crow flies about but once it's been round the houses it'll be about 10m)

It's about £600 to have the DNO shift the supply that far! (by inquiry)

It's too far for tails.

Installation is a TN-C-S

Elegant solutions? I know some of you must have come across this before.

(I'm not after a bloomin Rembrant or anything, just something that won't offend my eye, and get me a pair of tails into the CU)

tails from meter into double pole switch feeding a house service unit with split concentric terminated in it and run to desired location

Connect tails from meter into a suitably rated fused isolator then run new supply to cu in either split con or swa.

This is a job being run by a mate who I'm helping out, and I'd like to go armed with some solutions as the guy I'm helping is old-school and can certainly wire a house, but cuts corners if you know what I mean. He stopped bothering with the regs updates before 2001 !
