Anyone know if they’re still available? Can’t find them on Google.

A mate and I want 8 x ½“ clamps for a DC motor. There’s a charred mess where the terminal board should be.

It will take him a couple of days to strip the terminal board and make a new Tuffnel back plane, there’s about 50 terminals on it. We’ve found the ½“ brass studs needed and there’s enough of the 50mm Festoon cable left to remake them. They then carry on in 95mm super flexible singles in trunking. If needs be the singles will have to be crimped but we don’t like the idea. Of the two terminals, each has 4 x 50mm and 2 x 95mm
First time in 40 years I’ve had anything to do with super flexible. 95mm fits a 70mm lug, lovely stuff to use.

Got this sorted eventually. I went back and had a rummage around old contactor panels, had to strip two panels to get enough.
It’s a wonder they were still there, pikies are nicking stuff right, left and centre. They had a crane fail on a Monday morning, the down shop conductors had gone walkies over the weekend. It doesn’t help the place looks half derelict.

Basically brass washers with two lips. Two used opposite each other. Used instead of lugs.

Tony. Does the name originate from the old Ellison oil filled starters and other switch gear manufactured by them ? Fair chance, I would think.

I've got some somewhere, stuck away in the store, not many though. The flexible cable you mention is top notch. Used it quite a few times supplying MG compact db's. Would have saved hours on some bus bar systems years ago.

Cheers IPF, jobs sorted now. I’ve worked at this place before so should have known it would be a “Scrap Heap Challenge”.

Shell clamps are great, I’ve used them for up to 400mm cable.
