Hi.......im 2nd fixing lanlords this week. Just want to recap about emergency lighting. Wired in 1.5mm 3core. The emergency light has got L1 connection / Neutral / Earth. Grey is theneutral, black is the switch live and the browns are the perminate lives. The back up battery pack need a live feed to charge the batteries so the browns go into L1 connection.....right? The switch lives blacks brown sleeving got into a connector block.

Sounds good mate.
 
If they are maintained I would use:
Brown - Switched Live
Black - Permanent Live (sleeved brown)
Grey - Neutral (sleeved blue)

non-maintained would be the same except I would put the switched live (brown) in connector block.
