Thought i would throw this one out there to see what ideas and methods people use for their photometric design

Agh sorry mate. Can't help you lol.All done for us by the firm

Agh, allright for some, was really a discussion on an NICEIC assessment about if an architecht does a lighting design showing emergency fittings is he resposible for the photometric design and apparently he is not due to his drawing not actaully showing emg design even though it would probably comply, ie locations, level changes etc

He makes up the drawings showing placement of light fittings but is not responsible for the photometric design?Strange one! Will ask the gaffer when we get back about this one but i'm sure others on here can help

If spacing tables are not available from the manufacture, BS5266-1:2011 gives accepted forms of measuring the illuminance of an installation.

The methoads are in the back, Anex B (informative).

I see you must have had a slap from Robert then..lol
Don't worry your not the only one.

Agh, youve had the pleasure lol

Afraid so.

Its not that bad if new install, it becomes a problem if you are adding to or certing existing.
As long as you can get a drawing and layout most supplyers will do you one free if your buying there fittings.
There is always the trick of getting a quote for fittings and let them scheme it for you, gone are the days of just getting them and sticking them in willy nilly like we used to do.

God, i sounded like him then.............
