I need some advice, I have been asked my a friend to quote a job. He needs 2 emergency lights put up at 2 exit points in a warehouse.

I was planning to run a feed from the nearest light to the exit point, would this be the correct way of doing it?

Would I have to issue a cert, even if i fitted 1 emergency light?

Any help would be great

I was planning to run a feed from the nearest light to the exit point, would this be the correct way of doing it? As long as there is a permanant live supply present at that light that would be ok as they are supposed to operate on local power failiure. Also you may want to think about installing a test key switch for these fittings so they can be routinely tested without too much disruption..

Would I have to issue a cert, even if i fitted 1 emergency light? Always best to issue some sort of certification, generic emergency lighting certs from the wholesalers will suffice.

Any help would be great

Maybe also consider maintained fittings, depending on the usual level of lighting
