hi, I think i have to go test emergency lighting tomorrow, i know its just a matter of turning the key switch and checking if battery kicks in. my question is how do you test the battery's are upto scratch and any other tests do you think is relevent.. aint even looked at emergency lighting before so just want a little of your fine knowledge if you dont mind.
 
Yes loads of them

Plans available & correct
Log books available and filled in
Adequate illumination under test conditions
Luminaires conform to BS EN 60598-2-22
Wiring systems comply with BS 7671
Segregation of emergency circuits from other circuits
Suitable test facility installed
After test charging indicators operate correctly
Luminaires clean and undamaged and lamps in good condition

There are more but that's all i can think of for now.
 
yes im still on about this emergency lighting, its my first time going to look around it and test it. was wondering if anyone had a company checklist and test form.... be great if you could help in anyway at all. ive read a good bit but as you know its practical that makes it stick.
