Pete-

I am working as a caretaker in a care home at the moment and have noticed that one emergency light will light when a bulb has blown whilst still showing a status light.

When bulb is replaced it will go out.

should say not tube on unit and unit will not light under normal test.

sorry for short post having problems with site in IE browser

Hi Pete,

I'll be honest and say that I don't really understand your question.

The status LED on emergency light fittings just shows that the batteries are being charged.

It is sometimes possible for the lamp on a maintained fitting to still work under emergency conditions when it has failed in normal mode.
