Anyone had any of these go faulty ? I did out my kitchen / Dining with 19 of them and 3 gone after less than 3 years "light" use.

Hi there. I have been using this MR16 Dimmable LED Spot Light for a few months now and so far there hasn’t been any problem, other than it being just a 35-watt equivalent. Before that I used Ikea led mr16s for nearly 2 years. The ones from Illustra are a bit pricier but I was advised that the expensive ones using CREE chips last longer. What brands of LMR16 are you using?

Hi

They are an Energetic MR16 6W 25D 300k Dimmable, in the kitchen / Dining so not much use, i did take one back within a month or so as it failed, no idea what LED they use but thats the con of LED don't check out the quality of LED / Driver and its a big gamble, wholesaler isn't there any more and no doubt would refer to manufacturer guess thats the option now !

Thanks for the courteous reply !

Brian

I see. I am not that familiar with Energetic bulbs, but you’re right. It does pay off to go for branded ones, even if they’re more expensive, because you won’t have to keep on changing them. Good luck with your next one!
