Energy saving ideas...

Hi Chaps....

I have a customer with a smallish hotel (mentioned in previous thread - re: V-phase) and they want to start making some energy savings.

Going round later in the week to see what we can come up with.

Obvious one on the top of my list is lighting - LEDs wherever possible.

Any other suggestions would be welcome ? (sensible ones please :54:)

switches are capable of being turned off as well as on. forget the v-phase gimmick. anything above a trickle and it bypasses the v-phase.

Might take a bit of rewiring but you could fit card switches in each room - pull the (key) card out and all the lights, telly etc go off; the idea is when the last person leaves the room they take their card and turn all the lights off.

hey guys never fitted a v-phase unit although i have installed many voltage optimisers on larger scales in schools unis and so forth and within the last 12months, what is the problem with v-phase units on the smaller domestic scale????
