are we doing ourselves out of work been of and on last 12 months replacing haligens to led lighting were now starting replacing street lighting to leds at a cost of 600 pounds per light the supplier says we will get 7 years out of these but just thinking of the work that was generated from replacing the old lamps and ballasts etc any thoughts

I have to admit I rarely got called to someones house to change a lamp. a few times to factories and things but I would not say that it was the bulk of my work so personally i would not be that concerend.

Besides in 5 years time you'll be changing them LED lamps to Photon Torpedos or some such new fangled thing.
