"To benefit from the Feed-in Tariff scheme or the planned domestic RHI scheme your renewables system must be registered on the MCS Installation Database. |
If you have already installed a renewables system in your home that was to MCS standards but the system has not yet been registered with MCS and you do not yet have the MCS certificate, please be aware that the UK Government and MCS have set a deadline of 4pm on 22 October 2013 for this registration to have happened. The UK Government and MCS have agreed that any historical installations must be registered on the MCS Installation Database by this date and cannot be registered thereafter. Your installer must register the system for you and then send you the certificate. If this deadline will affect you please therefore get in touch with your installer as soon as possible. |
If you are planning on installing in the future then the deadline of the 22 October does not apply to you. For future installations your installer has 10 days from the date of completion to register the installation with MCS." Cant really see what the difference is to what we do already but it has led to a couple of panic calls from this weeks installs....... |
