EPC back dated 12 months

I heard today you can bring your property up to the D grade up to 12 months after your pv install and back claim the 21p if you were only paid 9p per KWH
all news to me...any imput..

Not true.

This was one of DECC's proposed conditions in the consultation but they have dropped it. It was part of the trade-off for going to band 'D' instead of 'C'.

You must submit an EPC 'D' certificate when you apply for a FiTs contract or you will be locked on the 9p rate for 25 years.

[edit] If anyone is using this as part of their sales tactics then they need to be stopped now before real damage is done.

We all know that doing things retrospectively in this Industry is not really the way to go, ask 4 high court judges.
I believe that minimum of D grade EPC has to be presented with the FIT forms.
