My understanding of this is that an EPC is required if the PV is feeding a building which is not EPC exempt.

Is an EPC required on a farm with a single phase incomer feeding into a barn with submains going out to other agricultural buildings and the farmhouse? PV will be on one of the Barns and will be used all over the farm including the house.

Further comlications - the farmhouse is listed... why don't we get any concrete tiled bungalows round here???

From how you have explained then yes house will need an EPC, or a building that uses energy for heating or cooling and is having the benefit of the PV,not all buildings, just a building....

Nightmare Mate listed and EPC are scary words but Im on the same learning curve.

I think we will have to adjust our pitch. O you are listed, the Government have droped the FITS to 9p for listed, interested , if not Im busy.

what if there is a (listed) farm house with 3phase supply, shed out the back has milking machinery and they will use 100% generated no export will that farm house require an epc or is the building with the machinary exempt.
cheers

If the house shares the supply then it will need an EPC,
The wording is something like any building that uses energy for heating or cooling, but my understanding is, if there are many buildings on the same supply that are heated only one needs an EPC.
If you are installing a large system, iE 50KWP, get that added to the EPC for the farmhouse, it will add so many points it will probably be fine anyway, although you may struggle if it is only 4KWP

I hope this helps.
