ES screw wall lights

Hi, working in a function room i noticed there are 10 ES wall lights (shell shape with open top and exposed lamp holder) around the room with no bulbs in. There is also fitted bench seating around the perimeter so in theory a child could stand on the seating and get their fingers in the lamp holder. If it were an EICR would you code it?

In theory the same child could remove the lamp and stick his fingers in, lesson, keep control of your Children.

agree there, pete. too much of this reliance on everyone to blame for children misbehaving and parents can't or won't take responsibility for their brats behaviour. when i was a kid and did something wrong, i got a scuff round the 'ed from the local beat copper ( that's why us scousers call coppers scuffers). told my dad, and got another clout. sadly if a copper did it now, he's be done for assault.

Presumably if the room is regularly used by children, and the facility is provided for them, the property owner should have some risk assessment in place. They may not be aware of this issue, and would be grateful of you bringing to their attention, regardless to any bunch of numbers or codes.

What's the code for a bench seat, as the child could fall off that and break it's neck whilst trying to get it's fingers in the E.S holder.?

And if they are that low then an Adult could reach without the bench, why pick on the Children?

The same Adult and child could jump out in front of a Bus on the road.

We all have a duty of care, to bring something that is potentially dangerous to someone's attention, I agree with the OP.

Presumably none of you 'No's' haven't had children or got grandkids. If you have or had, you'll know what mischief they can get up to, and what you would do to protect them.

You didn't say in the OP you've been asked to do an EICR

I would tell them to fit the bulbs.....

I believe you've never had kids westward? So perhaps don't have those feelings or should you? Can't find an electrical example, but this is one example that could of been prevented;
