Ethernet Cables

I don't know if this website is the right place to post. It's regarding an ethernet cable. So i have an ethernet wall jack and a junction box. They are in different rooms. My router is near the junction box. I want to connnect the ethernet cable to the router and put it in the junction box and out of the jack in the other room. I know this is do-able as electricians did this for me before. My question is how to fish out the ethernet cable from one room to another.Apologies beforehand if this is the wrong website to post this.
