Ethos 7920/ metrel mi3000

I'm half way through my 2330 lv 3 after completing the 2330 lv 2 last year, and will be doing the testing and inspection course later in the year. I would like to buy a multifunctional meter pretty soon so I can get used to it while on these courses. There is a sparks on my course who swears by the metrel brand and I have been looking at the MI3000 tester but have been told that the battery life on this is pants and to steer clear of it, any thoughts???? I have also be looking at the ethos 7920 meter which has a video on you tube showing how to use it (it does look very simple to use), does anyone know anything about this tester(as i think it is very new and there does'nt seem to be any reviews on-line) or am I wasting my time looking at both of these, if so any suggestions????????????

Had a look at the video it looks a nice tester, i'm in the market for a new one as i have a megger multifunction at the minute and its useless, continuity buzzer stopped working, terrible at no trip loop tests (seems to double what it actually is)

ive got the metrel mi3002. no problems with battery life and very easy to use. and has a memory so you can store your test results and print them straight to your test sheets at home.

is getting them from the tester to the computer a straight forward process?

very easy, all software is supplied. just plug and play. you can also get an upgrade to print to NICEIC forms.
