hello there
just carried out a pir and found three cookers, each supplied by a 50a mcb but instead of using 6mm/10mm they had twisted 3x2.5 singles together and used theses instead of a single core.
ive been qualified 20 years and i've never seen that before
any thoughts
code 1 i reckon !!!!

If the circuit was a distribution board supplying 400 amps and the feeders were SWA's then they could be triple feeders.
However for the installation you are discribing I would agree with you and state that is was a class 1

Are they within a multicore cable, parallel supplies is acceptable but certain criteria must be met, for example the cables need to be exactly the same length, size and conductor material, how has the neutral been done as it has to match and what is the installation method as this system is usually employed in swa for supplies to dist-boards, large machinery etc to reduce cost and make installation easier.

That's like the single and split concentric you see see in some rural properties. I've come across some parallel conductors before and naturally you don't like the look of them, but if they satisfy 523.8 then it's more of an orthodoxy issue.
