We have a 82kw system that was singed in under roofit just before the deadline last summer , they now want another 50kw installing through the same head and meter on a barn about 15m away from the original one .
Has anyone else on the forum been involved in a similar project , as i could do with a bit of guidance as to how to approach the fits on this one ?

I will be away for a couple of days if anyone replies so thanks in advance if you do .

where an installation has been extended using the same technology type, the extension will be treated as a separate installation. Where Ofgem accredits an extension, we will assign a separate tariff code to the extension based on the aggregate total installed capacity of both the extension and the existing accredited installation

So I would presume it would still be ROO-FIT; Here SHOULD be the answer http://www.ofgem.gov.uk/Sustainability/Environment/fits/Documents1/FIT Generator Guidance.pdf

If you read chapter 2, my interpretation would be that even if you added 1kWp to the existing roo-fit "eligible installation" becasue it is on the same "site" then if would fall under roo-fit.

The only people that can give you the definitive answer though is Ofgem themselves, and of course with Ofgem having removed the agency option, the client now has to apply themselves.

Spitfire may be able to help as their owning company EOS used to do a lot of these size jobs...
